Stephano Giuseppe Amicone, of Riverside, California passed away into the Lord's hands on Sunday, January 7th, 2017 at the age of 88. Steve was born on July 31, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan to Nicola and Lucia Amicone. Steve was the eldest of 2 children. Steve was inducted into the Riverside Sports Hall of Fame for his service to the young men and women of Riverside and cherished the time he spent working with them. Stephano Giuseppe Amicone, of Riverside, California passed away into the Lord's hands on Sunday, January 7th, 2017 at the age of 88. Steve was born on July 31, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan to Nicola and Lucia Amicone. Steve was the eldest of 2 children. Steve was inducted into the Riverside Sports Hall of Fame for his service to the young men and women of Riverside and cherished the time he spent working with them. He enjoyed traveling and going to concerts with his wife Patricia, was active in his church, loved spending time with his friends and family (he was also known to make a mean sauce). Steve served his country with honor in the US Marine Corps and worked for Rockwell International for many years as a cost analyst on the Space Shuttle Challenger and various other defense contracts.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents; brother Frank, and son Paul. He is survived by his wife Patricia, daughters; Stephanie Jeffries, Michele Amicone, Roberta Clark, Susan Farley Step-daughters; Vanessa Buchthal and Jeri Vogel; step-sons Larry Bible and Jim Bibles grandchildren; Sarah Bryan, Kristen Amicone, Michael Clark, Brandon Jeffries, Nick Amicone , Nichole Jeffries, Mariah Clark, Bradley Farley, Elizabeth Bibles, Mark Vogel, Bobbie Vogel, Bonny Vogel, Mike Vogel, Emma Buchthal, Nadia Bibles, Robin Buchthal, his great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in New Braunfels, TX, from 1:00pm-2:00pm. The interment service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery.
